The 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV is Russia's latest and most capable self-propelled howitzer, designed to outmatch Western systems like the PzH 2000 and AS-90. Its fully automated loading system achieves the world's highest rate of fire for a 152mm system at 15–16 rounds per minute, with the MRSI capability to deliver 8–12 simultaneous impacts. The unmanned turret with remote loading allows the crew to remain in a fully protected armored cab during firing. Russia claims an effective range of 80+ km with precision-guided munitions β€” substantially beyond the PzH 2000. In Ukraine, the 2S35 has been used in limited numbers, with several units confirmed destroyed by Ukrainian HIMARS strikes and FPV drones. Its debut in Ukraine provided the first real combat data, revealing maintenance demands of the complex autoloader.
