UH-60M BLACK HAWK
The UH-60M Black Hawk is the backbone of US Army aviation, serving as the primary assault transport, medevac, command and control, and special operations platform. The M-model introduced upgraded GE T701D engines, wider-chord composite rotor blades for improved performance at altitude, and a fully integrated glass cockpit with digital avionics. Over 4,000 have been built and it operates with 30+ nations. Its versatility has made it indispensable: the HH-60M MEDEVAC variant has saved thousands of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. The aircraft's ability to operate in extreme environments — from Arctic cold to Afghan mountain altitudes — makes it the world's most operationally proven utility helicopter. It will remain in US service through at least 2050.
