KA-52 ALLIGATOR
The Ka-52 Alligator uses Kamov's distinctive coaxial rotor design, eliminating the tail rotor and giving the aircraft exceptional agility in confined environments. The side-by-side crew arrangement (unique among attack helicopters) provides both crew members with identical sensor and weapon controls. Equipped with a 360ยฐ radar and integrated with network-centric warfare systems, the Ka-52 can engage multiple targets simultaneously. Its combat record in Ukraine has been marked by both tactical effectiveness and significant losses to shoulder-fired missiles, leading to adjustments in Russian attack helicopter doctrine. The Ka-52M upgrade features improved electronics and the ability to deploy the Izdeliye 305 extended-range ATGM.
