The MQ-4C Triton is the US Navy's primary maritime surveillance drone, providing persistent intelligence over the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Strait of Hormuz, and Red Sea theaters. Its 24+ hour endurance and 55,000 ft altitude allow continuous monitoring of Iranian IRGC Navy movements, Houthi launch sites in Yemen, and commercial shipping at risk from attack. Triton data feeds directly to carrier strike group commanders and CENTCOM for real-time threat assessment. With the Red Sea crisis and Iran-Israel confrontation, Triton provides the ISR backbone for all US naval operations in the region.
