B-2 SPIRIT

The B-2 Spirit is the world's only operational stealth strategic bomber. Its flying-wing design and advanced radar-absorbing materials make it nearly invisible to enemy air defenses. Each aircraft can carry 16 B61-12 nuclear gravity bombs or two GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker-busters capable of destroying deeply buried targets — including hardened nuclear facilities. With 20 aircraft in service at a cost of $2.1 billion each, the B-2 fleet represents the most expensive military aircraft program in history. Its deployment to the Persian Gulf in 2025-2026 was a direct signal of US willingness to strike Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
